Two Jefferson Scholar alumnae awarded Knight-Hennessy Scholarships to attend Stanford University

Kristen Barrett, the Farish Family Jefferson Scholar, and Katie Deal, the William G. Pannill Jefferson Scholar, were selected to join the 2022 cohort of Knight-Hennessy Scholars at Stanford University. Kristen, who received the Marshall Scholarship in 2020 to study English literature at the University of Oxford and film studies at the University of Edinburgh, will pursue a Ph.D. in English at Stanford’s School of Humanities and Sciences. Katie, who led public policy research at T. Rowe Price in Baltimore after graduation, will pursue a M.B.A. at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
