Jefferson Scholar puts an engineering mindset to work as an entrepreneur

Henry Bearden, the Peggy and Henry Valentine Jefferson Scholar from the Class of 2027, spent his summer growing a business he co-founded in his hometown of Richmond. A systems engineering major at UVA, Henry is applying lessons from the classroom to Jet’s Window Cleaning & Pressure Washing, where he oversees a collegiate sales team and is experimenting with new approaches to recruitment, training, and growth.
