14th Annual Jefferson Fellows Symposium

February 19, 2016

On Friday, February 26th, from 1 to 3 p.m., 17 Jefferson Fellows studying across 12 departments and three schools at U.Va. will come together at Foundation Hall to present on a wide range of research topics as part of the 14th Annual Jefferson Fellows Symposium.

Jefferson Fellows are charged with furthering the quality of education, intellectual life and mission of the University. This annual Symposium, which is free and open to the public, is an outcome of this goal and additionally serves as a recruiting tool for prospective U.Va. graduate students. Among the audience members will be 60 Ph.D. nominees from across the globe, all of whom are competing for the Foundation’s merit graduate fellowships.

Presentation topics range from developing an autonomous vehicle that can also autonomously repair itself to developing new technology that could help prevent suicide. For information about the 14th Annual Jefferson Fellows Symposium and for abstracts on each presentation, click here or call 434-243-9029.
