Wendy Qi
Bio:
Wendy is an incoming student in Systems and Information Engineering at University of Virginia. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at U.Va. in 2016 and master’s degree from Cornell University in Operations Research and Information Engineering in 2019. For nearly a decade, she has focused on studying and applying advanced methods at the confluence of Engineering and Operations Research. She has experience working in the defense, manufacturing, sports, and healthcare industry. Before returning to graduate school, she spent two years working in the industry as an operations analyst. She is interested in developing advanced healthcare decision-making models to guide effective health policy making, improve patient health outcomes and promote global health equity and accessibility in underdeveloped regions.
