Rishi is a Researcher and Program Officer with the Governor’s Climate and Forests Task Force, a network of 38 states and provinces that work on sustainable development, tropical forests and climate change issues. He manages a project in partnership with The Climate Group/Under 2 Coalition to develop long term decarbonization pathways for subnational jurisdictions in the land use sector. For the past 8 years, Rishi has been a senior advisor, consultant and technical expert in forestry, land use, agriculture and water management, working with donor agencies like Norad, United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization, Global Green Growth Institute, the World Bank and USAID. Rishi was a Jefferson Fellow in Environmental Sciences at the University of Virginia, and has degrees in environmental management and forestry from Yale and Berkeley. He works on projects in Latin America, Central and West Africa, Southeast Asia and the Pacific islands, and lives in Colorado.
