Bio:

Eloísa is an Assistant Professor in the Math Department at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, and she works in a field of mathematics called commutative algebra. Eloísa is originally from Portugal, and she received her B.S. and M.S. in mathematics from Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisboa, Portugal. She got her Ph.D. in mathematics at the University of Virginia in 2018, where she was president and founding member of the UVa chapter of the Association for Women in Math. After graduating from UVa, Eloísa was a postdoc at the University of Michigan and an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Riverside, and she joined UNL in Fall 2021.
