Christopher Irwin
Bio:
Chris Irwin currently holds a joint postdoctoral fellowship at Tel Aviv University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he is studying supernovae and gamma-ray bursts, violent explosions that accompany the death of massive stars. Prior to his Ph.D. studies in astronomy at U.Va., Chris received his B.S. in physics and B.A. in Japanese from the University of Pittsburgh, and his M.A. in astronomy from the University of Virginia. After graduating from the University of Virginia in 2016, Chris moved to Israel to continue his astrophysics career.
