April 28, 2026
Augusta Halle, the Joan and Philip B. Pool Jr. Family Jefferson Scholar from the Class of 2028, is embarking on a 3,500-mile cross-country journey, biking from Seattle to Washington, D.C., as part of the “Roots on the Road” project. Along the way, she and her team will visit farms, markets, and food producers to document the future of American agriculture and help bridge the growing divide between consumers and farmers.
