Jefferson Scholar alumna named Karsh Institute Distinguished Practitioner Fellow

Melissa Murray, the William H.P. Young Jefferson Scholar from the Class of 1997, has joined UVA’s Karsh Institute of Democracy as a Distinguished Practitioner Fellow. During her yearlong fellowship, she will explore how courts and legal institutions shape everyday life and what they reveal about the health of American democracy.
