The U.S. Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board have announced the names of 1,900 U.S. citizens selected to receive Fulbright Scholarships, a highly competitive, merit-based grant designed to foster international educational exchange. Among the winners is Nick Fenton, the George G. Guthrie Jefferson Scholar. A double major in political and social thought and Russian and Eastern European studies, Nick plans to use the Fulbright to teach English at a university in Omsk, Russia.
