Cynthia Nicoletti, JF '07, receives the American Society for Legal History’s Cromwell Book Prize

Cynthia Nicoletti, the John L. Nau III Jefferson Fellow, recently received the American Society for Legal History’s Cromwell Book Prize for her 2017 book Secession on Trial: The Treason Prosecution of Jefferson Davis. Cynthia, who is now a professor at U.Va.’s School of Law, examines the legality of secession through Jefferson Davis’s treason prosecution.
