Fifty-two outstanding high school seniors will receive full merit scholarships from the Jefferson Scholars Foundation this fall in order to pursue their undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia.
Forty will receive the Jefferson Scholarship and will form the largest incoming cohort of Jefferson Scholars in the foundation’s 42-year history. Twelve will receive the newly established Walentas Scholarship for exceptional first-generation college students.
