National Fellow alumnus Tore Olsson recently received the Luciano Tomassini Latin American International Relations Book Award for his book Agrarian Crossings: Reformers and the Remaking of the US and Mexican Countryside. The Latin American Studies Association (LASA), a professional organization designed to foster intellectual discussion, research, and teaching on Latin America, the Caribbean, and its people throughout the Americas, selected Tore’s book, which sets out to dismantle the artificial boundaries that divide American and Latin American agricultural history.
