Christopher Benos, the Wendy Whitlow Jefferson Scholar from the class of 2018, is one of 151 students from 33 countries and 106 universities selected to receive a Schwarzman Scholarship.
Schwarzman Scholarships are one of the world’s most prestigious graduate fellowships, providing funding to students to study at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Recipients undergo a rigorous application process designed to evaluate academic ability, as well as leadership potential and strength of character.
Christopher, a current third-year law student at U.Va., was selected out of a pool of nearly 3,000 and plans to study Chinese political and legal institutions.
