Almas Abdulla is pursuing her J.D. and M.B.A. degrees at the University of Virginia School Of Law and the Darden School of Business. Prior to matriculating at Darden, she was an associate at the Blackstone Group’s Finance Division in New York City. Almas earned her B.S. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2014, where she was involved in research in mathematics and economics. Her primary field of interest is the interdisciplinary study of emerging economies, where she hopes to work in the sustainable investment space. Almas is involved in a number of community organizations, particularly educational and mentoring initiatives.
