Ensuring Future Growth

It is an exciting time for the Jefferson Scholars Foundation.

In 2005, the Foundation launched a $100 million capital campaign, part of the University of Virginia’s broad-based $3 billion campaign that runs through 2011.

Fiscal year 2009 marks the mid-point of the Campaign for the University of Virginia. Once again, the Jefferson Scholars Foundation set an annual target of $14 million in new commitments as it sought to meet our campaign goal of $100 million. Through the generosity of our friends and benefectors, the Foundation has surpassed the fiscal year target for fifth consecutive year.

The campaign will ensure that striving for excellence continues for the next generation of Scholars and Fellows. These Scholars and Fellows will be greater in number, with increased tuition and fees; programmatic needs will escalate, as will overall operational costs as the program spreads to new geographic areas.
