Jeffrey Braun

Peter and Crisler Quick Jefferson Fellow
Class: 2019
Hometown: Baltimore, Maryland
B.S. University of Maryland (2012)

Jeff is a member of the ExSiTE Group (Experiments and Simulations in Thermal Engineering). His research interest is in studying energy transport in materials and devices on the nanoscale. Jeff has presented some of his research on thermal transport in amorphous silicon thin films at two major conferences and has published this work in Physical Review B. Over the course of the next year, Jeff plans to build and improve experimental techniques that use pulsed lasers to study the way energy moves at the nanoscale in hopes of improving efficiency in electronic and photovoltaic devices.
