Statement from the Foundation on the shooting at UVA

The Jefferson Scholars Foundation community is shocked and deeply saddened to learn that a shooting took place on Grounds last night, resulting in the fatalities of three UVA students and injuries to two additional victims. 

Today we grieve with the families of Devin Chandler, Lavel Davis Jr., and D’Sean Perry, along with those who were injured and traumatized by this horrific act of violence.

We offer our full support to the student body, and we will continue to keep the victims’ families and the entire University community in our thoughts.
