Scholar alumna directs Broadway play that earns six Tony Award nominations

Lear deBessonet, the James J. Bailey III Jefferson Scholar from the Class of 2002, continues to make a mark on the New York City theatre scene. Her most recent work, a highly celebrated production of Into the Woods, made its way to Broadway in August 2022. Now, the production has earned six Tony Award nominations, including best revivial of a musical and best direction of a musical.
