Charles L. Brown (Engr '43), the late chairman and CEO of AT&T, showed his dedication to the University in many ways during his lifetime. His widow, Ann Lee Saunders Brown, has made a $10.5 million gift to the University in memory of her husband; the gift includes the Charles L. Brown Jefferson Scholarship for a student in the Engineering School. The scholarship is currently held by James Anthony Villarrubia '08 of New Orleans, Louisiana.
