Jefferson Scholar explores World War II archives to help shed light on soldiers’ attitudes about race and gender relations

Chase Dawson, the Joseph R. Daniel Jefferson Scholar, was selected last summer as one of 14 undergraduate students from U.Va. to participate in the Data Science for the Public Good’s Young Scholars Program. Through this multidisciplinary program, Chase joined a team of students and faculty studying the American Soldier in World War II.
